Merchandising Specialist Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Merchandising Specialist to join our marketing team. As a Merchandising Specialist, you are not just filling a position but embracing a mindset. This role calls for an industry professional who not only understands the intricacies of promotional products, but also the art of building strong supplier relationships.

Your primary responsibility is to curate, develop, and manage a diverse range of promotional merchandise that effectively promote clients' brands. You will be responsible for staying updated with industry trends, sourcing new products, curating catalogs, and ensuring the successful execution of promotional campaigns for clients.

The ideal candidate is a visionary who can spot trends from a mile away, someone who can weave these insights into tailored merchandising plans that cater to the unique needs of our corporate and college clients.

Merchandising Specialist Duties and Responsibilities:

•  Product Selection and Curation: Research, identify, and curate a wide variety of promotional products suitable for different industries and target audiences. Evaluate product quality, pricing, and reliability of suppliers to ensure the selection of high-quality merchandise.                                                                                                                                                       
• Client-Centric Merchandise Planning: Craft detailed merchandise proposals and vibrant catalogs, each tailored meticulously to resonate with individual corporate and college clientele.
• Holistic Client Engagement: Be the face and voice during client interactions, presenting them with the latest trends, detailed product breakdowns, and engaging catalog discussions.
• Market Research: Stay current with industry trends and emerging products to make informed decisions about the products to be included in promotional campaigns. Analyze market demand, customer preferences, and competitor offerings to optimize product selection.
• Supplier Relationship Management: Dive deep into the supplier ecosystem, forging bonds and extracting valuable industry insights. Your ability to understand and predict market trends will be pivotal in keeping our product offerings fresh and relevant.
• Data-Driven Strategy Formulation: Regularly immerse yourself in sales analytics, drawing from both e-commerce metrics and general sales data. Your insights will be the guiding light, shaping our product sales strategy and ensuring we remain industry leaders.

Merchandising Specialist Requirements:

• Must be a seasoned professional with substantial experience in the Promotional Products field.
• Possess strong supplier management skills.
• Have experience with a robust network of industry suppliers and a knack for nurturing these relationships.
• Compelling communicator with the ability to present and persuade.
• An analytical mindset with a desire for developing actionable strategies from raw data.
• Passion and motivation to work in a space characterized by collaboration and kinetic energy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Working Conditions:

• Office-based work environment.
