The University Athletic Association at the University of Florida is searching for a candidate to fill a time limited internship with the Marketing & Promotions department. This position will provide support in all aspects of marketing to promote revenue generation and increased attendance while engaging the Gators’ fanbase. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: developing and executing marking plans for Women’s Soccer, Women’s Basketball, and Women’s Lacrosse; collaborating with other departments to enhance the fan experience at Florida athletic events; and managing various game functions for assigned sports (serving as a game producer, writing public address scripts, coordinating anthem singers and halftime performances, developing interactive promotions, and in-game music/audio). This position is expected to actively engage in all Florida Football home gamedays as well as other scheduled athletic events as needed. This is a time-limited position with an option for a second year if essential criteria is met. This posting will remain open until a qualified candidate is chosen.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Required Qualifications:

• • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sports Management, Communications, or a related field
  • One year of experience working in an intercollegiate or professional sports marketing environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Photoshop, Shoflo, and Click Effects
  • Strong customer service, problem-solving, and communication (verbal and written) skills
  • Organized, proactive, self-motivated, detail-oriented team player with a positive attitude
  • Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • The ability to engage effectively with others of diverse cultures or backgrounds
  • Working a non-standard work week which will include nights, weekends, holidays and possible overnight travel

Preferred Qualifications:

• • Master’s degree in Marketing, Sports Management, Communications, or a related field
  • Two or more years of experience working in an intercollegiate or professional sports marketing environment
  • Working knowledge of NCAA and SEC rules and regulations

*Please note: Additional on the job training will be provided to candidates who meet the minimum qualifications for this position.  Please note this is a non-coaching position.
