AWPAA seeks an Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing & Fan Engagement that will be responsible for oversight of all athletics’ marketing and promotions plans, game presentations, revenue generation through digital/email marketing and strategic organizational partnerships, fan engagement, game attendance, and growing the Athletic Department brand both regionally and nationally.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities of this Position:
-Develop and implement marketing and promotions and game presentation plans with the goal of increasing ticket sales, game attendance, and improving the fan experience for all sports, with a primary emphasis on revenue sports.
-Working with all external units and coaching staffs
-Developing, writing, and implementing marketing plans and strategies to maximize fan attendance, grass roots engagement and revenue generation
-Developing public address scripts and video board rundowns
-Collaborating with the ticket sales staff on experiences, promotions, surveys and fan and cadet feedback initiatives
-Design digital and print marketing materials, including emails, microsites, social media graphics, flyers, video board graphics, etc.
-Revenue Generation through digital and email marketing campaigns and strategic organizational partnerships
-Coordination and strategic planning with various on-post departments and organizations, including the Corp of Cadets and their Spirit Groups, to increase the reach and awareness of Army West Point Athletics throughout the West Point installation and surrounding Hudson Valley communities. With an emphasis on Army-Navy and Army-Air Force competitions.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience required. Master's Degree preferred
The ideal candidate has at least (5) five years full time experience in marketing & fan engagement, in addition to any undergraduate or graduate school experience
Excellent organizational, analytical, critical thinking, oral, and written communication skills
Understanding of evolving trends and best practices in college athletics
Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work effectively with a variety of people and units, including various stakeholders in the athletic department and across the institution.
Working knowledge of Digital Marketing Software Platforms Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Campaign/Oracle Eloqua, Web Design, MS Office
