Reporting to the CEO, the Director of Marketing projects a positive image of the health system to the public through promotion of the facility and members of the medical staff. This hands-on director leads efforts to reach target audiences with strategic messages developed through a thorough understanding of the hospital's service lines and customer journeys. Works to identify and implement opportunities to increase image, visibility and competitiveness in the marketplace. The director has an understanding of pertinent messages that resonate with potential patients through the various stages of a patient customer journey. Creating and executing content is a major responsibility of this role requiring a passion for writing and communication. This director should display an interest in remaining current in topics affecting marketing, such as digital advertising and metrics analysis. Prior hospital marketing experience is a plus.
Excellent interpersonal, written, communication, problem solving skills and demonstrated experience in media relations, experience in Marketing and Public Relations, preferably in a hospital setting. Management and budget experience, excellent interpersonal, written, communication, problem solving skills and demonstrated experience in media relations is a plus. Writing experience required.
