The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategy, materials, and promotional components for the Society, including conferences, member engagement, and products and services. The person in this role will coordinate with stakeholders across all departments to implement a detailed project plans, track and report on progress of campaigns, post-conference data analysis, and facilitate timely execution of projects across all marketing channels.
Executes marketing plans and tactics for key ISPE products and services. These plans encompass marketing of conferences, meetings, exhibits, advertising, publications, electronic products, membership, etc
Manages Marketing/Communications projects to meet timelines and budgets; reviewing and advising team on projects; managing cross-functional relationships; and building external vendor partnerships
Identifies, negotiates, and implements all external advertising agreements
Coordinates database queries for market list segmentation
Provides regular status reports. Prepares and presents to internal staff and leadership plans and progress reports on marketing efforts for select projects
Help create marketing strategies to promote and support ISPE, its products and services, and enhance ISPE’s international reputation.
Develop, coordinate, execute and analyze marketing campaigns to achieve participation, engagement and revenue goals for events, membership, and other products and services.
Support marketing campaigns and strategy by gathering demographic and market research
Manage marketing-related budgets.
Use marketing analytics to understand campaign results and refine efforts.
Assists with the creation of marketing content/materials such as promotional emails, advertising copy, exhibits and displays, and handout materials; works with graphic designer on the design of materials and takes ownership of these products through production and distribution.
Oversee the marketing email campaigns and send to targeted audiences via online email services.
Collaborate with Creative Services Manager as it relates to production of event-related materials, such as design-related look and feel for each event and supporting materials such as print ads, social media ads, and printed programs.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, or related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in marketing, business development or membership Experience with associations is preferred.
Strong understanding of customer and market dynamic and requirements.
Excellent written communications skills for a variety of media (blog, website, social media, media outlets).
Demonstrated use of various technologies to market programs and services, including social media, Adobe software products, MS Office, and on-line technologies.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail and quality.
Superior written, proof-reading, and oral communications skills.
Demonstrated experience using marketing analytics to inform and improve campaign strategy.
Ability to create and test new approaches for promoting products, and services.
Ability to work in a team environment, be a self-starter, demonstrate initiative, and think outside the box.
Excellent interpersonal skills, inspire trust, motivation, and confidence with internal and external stakeholders.
Provide excellent customer service to internal and external members.
