Overview: This full-time position provides leadership, expertise, management and coordination to the organization’s overall strategic programmatic and fundraising relationships. This position requires experience and expertise in the cultivation, stewardship and relationship-building with a variety of stakeholders. Working collaboratively with the Executive Director, Directors, staff and Executive Board, this position will be responsible for developing new strategic partnerships and securing annual revenue from a variety of sources, including corporations, fee for service, foundations, and individual donors. Responsibilities: - Solicit and develop major sponsorship, exhibit and advertising campaigns specific to the Law Enforcement market, as well as, assist in the organization’s overall fundraising efforts;
- Meet regularly with sponsor/client senior management and Marketing, Fundraising & Development department colleagues to understand major priorities and goals and to provide timely information on funding opportunities;
- Perform research to ensure strategic effectiveness and growth in new prospects, with a special emphasis on developing high value-exchange corporate alliances;
- Must be comfortable selling print and digital media over the phone;
- Conversant on the latest developments in both print and digital media, sales strategies, tactics and actions required to achieve established financial goals;
- Maintain an aggressive schedule of contacts with corporate representatives, keep detailed records of solicitation activities in client databases, and interpret corporate and foundation interests to client constituencies;
- Solicit individual and corporate sponsorships depending upon each client’s specific fundraising plan;
- Ensure that stewardship and reporting requirements are met to sustain successful corporate partnerships and donor relations, and develop new relationships with client prospects;
- Monitor proposal deadlines, prepare proposals, manage proposal submissions and create and deliver fundraising presentations;
- Communicate effectively with corporate donors through face-to-face solicitation and stewardship meetings, as well as ongoing and strategic written and e-communication strategies; plan and support execution of targeted events across the year;
- Provide monthly, quarterly and annual revenue forecasts, reports, and analysis to senior management; and
- Perform research to ensure, identify and solicit meeting and event sponsors
