The Center has an annual headcount of 47 highly talented and motivated individuals made up by a diverse mix of Faculty, FXB Fellows, Research Associates, Staff and Student RA's, and is actively managed by the senior leadership team.
Reporting to the Executive Director and the supervisor one direct report, the Communications and Marketing Coordinator will lead efforts to design a robust and technologically sophisticated marketing plan for the Center, culminating in a multifaceted marketing strategy capable of informing audience-specific targeting strategies -- designed to reach internal and external academic and non-academic audiences, local and global markets, and targeted fund raising campaigns.
As a University wide Center, the FXB Center for Health and Human Rights interacts with and is a resource to all members of the University, creating unique branding needs and opportunities. This position will manage efforts to revamp the Center's current branding scheme, critically assessing areas of need, and working to redefine and standardize the Center's look and feel across print and online mediums.
The FXB Center partners with a large and diverse group of academics, experts and thought-partners across many Universities, geographic regions and specialty areas. Maintaining active, timely and open channels of communications is critical to the Center's ability to consistently meet project, program and Center wide goals. This position will be responsible for leading and implementing an effective internal and external communications plan to ensure clear and consistent communication across teams, projects, stakeholders and partners. The incumbent will provide research, writing, editorial and production support on all aspects of content generation. Providing original content for the Center's newsletter, blog and social media platforms as well as contributing substantively towards the generation, review and editing of concept notes for funding proposals.
Specifically, the Communication and Marketing Coordinator position will:
-Generate, write and edit materials for website and related social media account
-Design, edit and write for the Center's newsletter
-Coordinate with Media Technology Services to acquire/disseminate relevant media throughout the University's network
-Draft and edit concept notes and grant reports
-Maintain an updated and complete list of publications, events, proposals, and updates for each of the Center's thematic -areas through monthly updates with project leads
-Assist with other duties as necessary
