AVIXA is seeking an entry-level marketing coordinator to support the Industry Marketing team in promoting the InfoComm US trade show, market research products, and AVIXA membership programs. Along with some administrative tasks, you will learn "on the job" as you assist in the project management, development, and production of various integrated marketing campaigns. This is an ideal opportunity for a new college graduate with a marketing, communications, English, or hospitality degree.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
Respond to requests from InfoComm tradeshow exhibitors for VIP codes, personalized banner ads, exhibit hall passes
Update websites with copy edits and sponsor logos
Work with Expo Services Coordinator to schedule, write, and send Exhibitor bulletins
Input statistics into marketing plan spreadsheet and weekly registration report
Fulfill trade partnerships by submitting print and banner ads, scheduling emails, and managing booth, hotel room and meeting room requests
Maintain spreadsheet to track invoices
Work with marketing team to manage photography vendor at the InfoComm show
Inquire about rates and media kits for B2B publications and send ads for print by deadline
Schedule emails and review as emails are tested; route to stakeholders and submit edits through Basecamp (project management software)
Under the guidance of the Events Marketing Manager, develop printed Exhibit Hall Map and work with Expo team, designer, and vendor on production
Update APEx directory and order APEx plaques
Submit sign orders for any marketing-related signage at the InfoComm US show
Administrative tasks, such as sending out sales collateral, responding to attendee and exhibitor inquiries, and ordering swag items
Other duties may be assigned.
Bachelor’s degree, with a major in marketing, communications, English, or hospitality preferred
Experience Level: Entry Level
1 year of experience working in an office environment from internships, temporary employment, or volunteer role
0-1 year of experience in marketing through internships or course projects
Experience writing and/or editing technical copy (for engineers, IT departments or government proposals) is a strong plus
Proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint. Must be comfortable inputting data into Excel and creating simple formulas.Other Skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Exceptional command of spelling and grammar are a must.
Sense of project ownership and conscientious attention to detail to see assignments through to completion
Problem-solving self-starter who seeks solutions and works autonomously when necessary
