Advertised Summary Job Description: Reporting to the Director of Media and Advertising, and working collaboratively with the Marketing team, the Marketing Analyst (MA) builds, analyzes, and reports on metrics and key performance indicators for all of our programs at the School of Professional Studies (SPS). The MA is responsible for creating, maintaining, interpreting and disseminating reports that monitor and measure performance against outcomes and objectives for marketing at the school. These dashboard reports are used by the MA and SPS stakeholders to measure, monitor, and manage performance of core strategies and tactics, and provide insights and quantitative evidence to analyze activities at both micro and macro views.
CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1) Manage data, develop analysis and interpretation, and inform related action-oriented outcomes to support strategic, tactical, and operational efforts and decision making - Create reports that shape unstructured data into clear visualizations that provide end-users an ability to discover relationships within related data in new and innovative ways that lead to making decisions, planning next steps, and executing action items. - Research, evaluate, recommend, and execute changes to systems and processes related to the collection, reporting, and dissemination of information
2)Build, analyze, and report on metrics and key performance indicators to measure impact and ROI from marketing, communications, and advertising tactics across email, web, and print campaigns. - Collaborate with team members to build, measure, and evaluate metrics to determine and report on the success of marketing, advertising, and communications strategies and tactics, such as traffic to specific links, search behavior, and geo-targeting - Assist with demonstrating effectiveness of social media and marketing outreach (e.g., Facebook promotions/advertising, Twitter, etc.) - Cross-reference the numeric data that publishers (e.g., external ad buying agencies or media firms) provide to the creative team to ensure consistency in measurement and interpretation of key performance indicators (e.g., click through rates from online advertising in comparison to school website traffic) - Create and distribute analysis and reports on prospect pipeline patterns, e.g., sources where prospects first learned of the program, the depth and progression of prospects in the funnel, as well as rates of application, admission, and enrollment per source
3) Create, interpret data and distribute analysis of ad-hoc and standard marketing reports that provide insight in order to measure, monitor and manage business objectives and maintain SPS' competitive advantage - Review data and calculations to ensure report accuracy and data integrity - Create competitive presentations - Create all PowerPoint presentations for internal and external stakeholder meetings - Work collaboratively with SPS' program teams to develop and roll out GA reporting for each program and provide insights - Contribute to a team culture of testing, optimizing, and continually improving reporting
4)Assist Director of Media and Advertising with trafficking projects to/from the ad agency, managing multiple projects simultaneously
5) Perform other duties as assigned
General Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree required. - 2 years of related experience.
Additional Specific Minimum Qualifications: - Significant experience with the Office Suite of programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook), and Analytics programs (Google Analytics) - Familiarity with Google Drive tools - Data and outcome driven analytics experience - Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills - Exceptional attention to detail, strong organization and time management skills, and the ability to perform non-routine work with changing priorities - Ability to work independently as well as in teams - Demonstrated ability in project management and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously)
Preferred Qualifications: - Advanced degree in relevant area - Experience in higher education
